"Always wondered what's essential while packing for an overland journey?

Let me introduce you to Suri - the sustainable sonic toothbrush.
Once skeptical about electric toothbrushes, I've had a change of heart. Contemporary models with advanced technology offer better cleaning than manual ones. But, the plastic waste and irreplaceable battery made me reluctant. The burden of carrying a bulky piece of gadget that constantly needs recharging while camping is a buzzkill, agree?

Suri Sustainable Tooth Brush With UV Case

And then, I found Suri.
Its compact design, aluminum body, and replaceable battery caught my attention. Weighing on the ecological impact, how great does a recyclable brush head sound? The company goes one step ahead, providing a return envelope for used heads to minimize unnecessary waste.

And guess what?
The tiny USB connector makes recharging on the go a breeze. 🌬 The compact design doesn't compromise on cleaning. Surprisingly, it outperforms my regular brush and has become my go-to home unit.

The bonus?
It comes with a magnetic holder, perfect for sticking inside your medicine cabinet. So, here's my complete endorsement for a product that's friendly to your teeth and our planet.
Ready to meet Suri? It's waiting over here."

"Craft Your Own Custom Gun Case Foam

Gear up for vacation season! With travel plans looming, it's crucial to ensure secure packing for your carry gun. Dive into DIY alternatives to standard pick and pluck foam, fit for your P365 or P320 X-Carry.

- Head to a hobby store to grab Polyfoam sheets, at least 2 inches thick to snugly fit your case.
- Trace your gun, magazines, and ammo box onto the foam, taking care to avoid making it too small.
- Cut the traced lines with fresh blades to prevent tearing, trimming off extras gently.
- Finalize with a coating of black Plasti Dip to darken the foam and improve the foam's hold.

Alternatively:
- Use polyethylene closed-cell foam, found in gardening sections or discount stores.
- Follow the same tracing and cut-out process as with Polyfoam.
- No need for Plasti Dip here. It's already a dark-colored, stiffer material.

On a tight schedule? A temporary solution could be to use a beach towel, making nooks for your equipment. But remember: safety first! 🛡️ Ensure firm locks on your case, avoiding TSA-approved alternatives. Keep your equipment separate and remember, no loaded magazines allowed for air travel.

In the countdown to holiday season travel, customization is key to ensuring your gun-carrying gear travels in style and security!"

"Boondocking laundry is an art in itself, and it's not as difficult as you might think.

Think about it: you're off-grid, limited on water, but you've still got to maintain a semblance of cleanliness. I've been there. Even in the middle of deserts, I've managed to wash and dry essentials from socks to tees without trouble. While larger items like jackets are best left to laundromats, smaller pieces are easy to handle off-grid.

But managing water is key.
🚰 Prioritize your water supply, reserving a portion specifically for laundry use.
Also, if you're lucky enough to stumble upon a fresh water source - seize the moment and refill your water container!
Remember, most of the water you’ll use will actually be for rinsing, not washing. Choose your soap wisely.
Opt for biodegradable laundry soap like Dr. Bronner’s Sal Suds or Mrs. Meyer’s Liquid Laundry Detergent to keep things eco-friendly.
Handwashing is quite straightforward. I've found that a collapsible dishwashing container works wonders as a makeshift washing tub. Pay extra attention to high-stink areas like armpits on shirts and the crotch of underwear. Rinsing is as simple as replacing the dirty water and repeating the process.

For a more hands-off approach, products like the Scrubba Wash Bag or the WonderWash provide great convenience.

Drying isn't too complicated either.
Cotton takes longer to dry than manmade fabrics, wool, or silk, but sunlight and wind can get the job done in 15 minutes in a dry climate.
A retractable clothesline or collapsible hanging drying rack can be useful, especially in less ideal weather. Doing laundry off-grid needn't be daunting. In fact, it ends up being pretty straightforward and even fun!

Remember, the RVing community is always willing to share advice and help out when it comes to common challenges like this one. So, keep exploring and stay clean on your off-grid adventures!"
